Mozu, a spinoff from Volusion, was built with the intent to go upmarket with a new enterprise commerce offering. Its headless platform had officially been launched in January 2014 at the NRF event in New York. In October 2016 Mozu had been acquired by Kibo, a company that offers technologies for omnichannel online retail. Mozu (today part of the Kibo offering) was recognised by leading analysts like Gartner. It's commerce software was used by companies like Ace Hardware, Cracker Barrel and Jelly Belly.
